Florida is the most southeastern state in the United States, with the Atlantic Ocean on one side. And the Gulf of Mexico on the other. It has hundreds of kilometers of beaches. We know the city of Miami for its Latin America cultural influence and renowned art scene and nightlife. Especially in exclusive South Beach. We know Orlando for its theme parks, including Walt Disney World.

Hollywood Florida - USA
Between the feet. Hollywood, Lauderdale, and Miami, Florida, considered some of the best beach resorts in America. The city may have the same name as the famous Los Angeles neighborhood. But in Hollywood, Florida, the chief attraction isn’t movie stars, movie studios, or giant mansions. The genuine attraction here is the long beach with golden sand and crystal clear water.

As a beach resort, Hollywood is accessible and fun. They appreciated this beach for its cleanliness and safety standards. Finding the perfect place to live in Hollywood is easy. You don’t want to be too far from the sea. There are luxury of beachfront lodges and resorts to love from. These are not huge skyscrapers, but smaller boutique-style accommodations. Hollywood Beach has over 50 restaurants and over 30 boutiques and shops.

Georgia: A travel destination in North America

Another Hollywood glory that complements its sandy shoreline is the 2.5-mile Broadwalk. The name is not a misspelling of the word “boardwalk”. In fact, the city planners who designed this boardwalk called it that to highlight the path’s extraordinary width. Travel authority Travel + Leisure has named Hollywood Boulevard one of the best beach boardwalks in America. This pedestrian promenade exudes a vivacious atmosphere. Because of the number of events and activities that take place here each week.

Because of the size of Broadwalk, it has become a great playground for young and old alike. Here you can bike, jog or skate like a local. If you don’t have wheels, you can rent them from stores like Sun & Fun Cycles. You also have to opt to book a boat tour. Or renting jet skis and cabins from outdoor outfitters in the area.

Wyndham Panama City Beach, Ocean Walk

If you visit this place on a Sunday. Don’t forget to stop by the organic farmers’ market set up in the area. This is a great opportunity to enjoy local delicacies such as exotic fruit smoothies.

Stroll along the Broadwalk for a variety of shops and restaurants. It will also give you magnificent views of the coast. Five nights a week, you can enjoy live music at the Hollywood Beach Theater.

While it's difficult to leave the beach for a while, consider doing so to explore the city’s historic center. Here, you can immerse yourself in the region’s rich culture and growing love of art. You’ll find galleries, art installations and murals all over the place. There’s even a dedicated arts center called ArtsPark, in the Young Circle area. This place hosts events for families, art lovers and food lovers. For families, Hollywood Beach and Broadwalk are ideal destinations, with two parks geared towards children. One of them is Charnow Park, which appeals visitors with its rock-climbing wall and interactive water features!

Seven reasons to spend a holiday in Connecticut

connecticut new england

As a New England holiday travel author. I’ve always thought of Connecticut as a neglected state for choosing destinations and attractions for a New England vacation. As you’ll find out here, a Connecticut vacation offers excitement... or relaxation, depending on your mood.

Let’s have a brief glance at seven reasons. You should consider a Connecticut vacation on your next trip to New England.

Connecticut Museum
With over 14 museums with different themes, Connecticut is sure to have something to suit your tastes. Here’s a quick summary:
Bridgeport is home to the Barnum Museum and the Discovery Museum. And in Danbury, you’ll find the Southern New England Military Museum and the Danbury Railroad Museum. In keeping with the train theme, Thomaston is home to the New England Railroad Museum and the Naugatuck Railroad.

In Bristol, you can find the New England Carousel Museum and Antique Clocks at the American Clock Museum. South of Waterbury is the Times Fair. An opportunity to celebrate the heritage of the Litchfield area at the Mattatuck Museum. Experience the machinery that once powered the region’s trade at the Old Connecticut Machinery Museum in Kent.

Windsor Locks is home not only to Bradley International Airport but also to the New England Air Museum. Just south of East Haven, another form of transportation can experience at the Shoreline Trolley Museum.
Our must-see list is the Mysterious Marine and American Museum and the fabulous Mashantucket Pequot Museum in nearby Mashantucket.

Connecticut Wine Trail
The Connecticut wineries? Yes, there are 16 of them all over the state, and they’re the perfect Connecticut base for a vacation. Connecticut has a mild climate compared to the rest of New England. And produces wines, including Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Riesling. While it has only produced Connecticut wine since 1978, many of the farms growing grapes are hundreds of years old.

The tasting room is open, but please call ahead of time to visit. You’ll find that it does not set these warehouses up for large bus loads. But is much more intermittent than the Northern California warehouses. The wine route is divided into two main areas, and they recommend your tour be divided into three or four days. But the trail takes you close to many other Connecticut destinations and attractions. Distract yourself and enjoy a brief trip through New England’s quaint and historic towns.

Foxwoods and the Mohegan Sun
The Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun merged to form the largest casino complex in the world. Foxwoods is owned and operated by the Mashantucket Pequot tribe. And Mohegan Sun is owned and operated by the Mohegan tribe on their land in Uncasville. These are high-profile, sophisticated experiences in world-class shopping malls, hotels, renowned entertainment, and restaurants. Both are located close to each other in eastern Connecticut, close to museums, scenic driveways, and mysterious Connecticut resorts.

Historic buildings in Connecticut
Perhaps the most famous home you see on vacation in Connecticut is Mark Twain’s home in Hartford. Which is also now a museum filled with the many artifacts he accumulated during the 17 years he lived there. Also in Hartford is Harriet Beecher Stowe, home to the famous Uncle Tom’s cottage. Another famous woman’s home was the academy in Canterbury run by Prudence Crandall. It was home to New England’s first black women’s college.

Your Connecticut trip must include the town of Litchfield, where you can see museum-quality well-preserved colonial houses. The Litchfield Historical Museum and Tapping Reeve House and Law School. Connecticut comprises many famous homes. Played an important role in the Underground Railroad and African Americans’ journey from slavery to freedom.

Pennsylvania: Its diversity gets the best attractions

Essex Steam Train and Connecticut River
Historic 1892 Essex Station is the departure point for a unique 2.5-hour steam train. And riverboat sailing along the Connecticut Stream.. In summer it cools down and in fall it surprises with the changing foliage. Also in Essex, the Connecticut River Museum. It brings the history of the river to life through paintings, artifacts, and interactive exhibits.

Mystic Town
Mystic Harbor and Mystic Aquarium attract tourists from Connecticut. Calling itself the Museum of America and the Sea. The harbor features an authentic 19th-century seafaring village, and large ships to tour. And a preservation yard where master shipbuilders are still practicing. The Mystic Aquarium introduces an alluring design of private and rustic exhibits. This includes a beluga whale and an impressive Titanic model and exhibit.

Antique Runs
Connecticut is known for its concentration of antique stores. Attracts thousands of treasure hunters to Connecticut for vacation every year. Just to stock up on discounts and exhibits to gather and brighten their homes. We felt the town of Woodbury was “Connecticut’s Antique Capital” with over 45 dealers. But no matter where you are in the state, you’re near to a special purchase. Just take a moment to follow your nose along the scenic New England highway sometimes. And know where you take...you can bet it’ll take you near an antique store if it’s in Connecticut.
