For thousands of years, the American continent has been home to various tribal peoples. As tribes, they fought each other, alternating between periods of peace with neighboring tribes. And periods when they used tribal warfare to protect themselves or expand hunting territories. Hunting wild animals is often the deciding factor, especially if the hunted animals move elsewhere (into another tribe’s territory). It’s an interesting time. We appreciate very limited about it. But I don’t think it’s a good time for American expansion.

Europeans have colonized the American continent since the 17th century. Both opportunists and persecuted are settlers. Opportunists seek gold, power, and large tracts of land. The persecuted try to build their little paradise in America. Both groups encountered tribal peoples, and while there were times of peace. There were also many wars and plagues (disease exchanges between once separated tribes and Europeans). America wasn’t great during this time.
In the 18th century, British colonists organized to secede from Britain. They drew on the democratic ideals of ancient Greece and prayed for God’s protection in their efforts. They helped by France and Spain, plus Britain was involved in the World War. T Te East Coast of the United States became the United States of America, a new democratic experiment. During and after this period, lofty ideals, strong moral foundations. And people come together to use their energies to expand and become stronger. America is exceptional!
